Questions Featuring
SmartDose technology, the 350G Gas portable is a full featured unit with a
sleek design. SmartDose auto-adjusting feature
responds to patient activity, giving more oxygen as it is needed, and turning
down oxygen when resting. Always
delivering the oxygen bolus in the first 1/3 of the inhale, SmartDose gives the
right dose at the right time, to give unmatched therapeutic results. SmartDose
multi-valve feature shapes the oxygen delivery to provide a gentle, quiet pulse
when possible, but is also able to deliver a faster, high flow dose when
needed. SmartDose microprocessor
algorithms calculate the delivery valve(s) on each and every breath to give
users the most comfort and quiet oxygen delivery available. To extend the intelligence
beyond the SmartDose unit itself, an onboard SD Card slot is included on every
unit, where user data is stored. Simply
pull out the SD Card, similar to many digital cameras, and read data into the
Inspired Technologies’ SmartDose software.

Claim Procedures and Requirements To
obtain warranty service, you may return a defective product to Inspired
Technologies, Inc. after receiving a Return Material Authorization number (RMA)
from our customer service department [(724) 861-5510]. When calling for an RMA#, please have ready
product identification information, including model number and serial number
with a detailed description of the problem you are experiencing. How does SmartDose know when I need
more oxygen? SmartDose
monitors your breathing patterns to “learn” what your resting patterns look
like and then can determine periods of activity. Why don’t I feel or hear the pulse
like on other pulsing units? The
multi-valve feature of SmartDose has three flow options for delivering the
pulse. When breath rate is low
(resting), many doses can be delivered in the first 2/3 of the inhale with much
lower flows than other units use. In
this case, SmartDose uses the lower flow valve, to still deliver the same
volume of oxygen. When you move, your
breath rate increases and SmartDose will use a higher flow valve to fit the
dose into the shorter inhale. How long between battery charges? The
SmartDose portable will typically run between 5 and 8 days on a set of fully
charged batteries. How do I know when my batteries are
low? The
low battery light will begin to flash when the batteries are approximately 8
hours from depleted. The low battery
light will light solid red when the batteries are too low to operate the
unit. Can I use regular alkaline batteries
in the SmartDose portable? Yes,
but DO NOT place the alkaline batteries in the battery charger included
with the SmartDose portable. How long will the unit last before I
run out of oxygen? |
